The Bandana Project
The Bandana Project
The Bandana Project creates a visual support system around campus for anyone struggling with mental health issues. The bandanas are attached to student’s backpacks or displayed in 冰球突破豪华版游戏下载 Personnel workspaces after individuals have taken a pledge to be a safe individual to approach with mental health- related issues and that they know where resources are. The green bandana is a sign of quiet solidarity.
Pledge
In taking this bandana and tying it to my backpack or displaying in my workspace, I pledge:
  • I will listen if you need to talk to someone
  • I will talk to someone if I need to be listened to
  • I will help you find someone to talk to when you need more support
  • I will find someone to talk to when I need more support
  • I will be accepting
  • I will be honest
  • I will see a person in need of support and not just their challenges
With this pledge, I am committing support for those dealing with depression and/or anxiety

FIRST LINK
FirstLink is a free, confidential service available to anyone 24/7/365 for listening and support, referrals to resources/help and crisis intervention. FirstLink answers the 211 help line, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and communicates via Text line 898-211. FirstLink provides these services across the entire state of North Dakota and parts of Minnesota. The Lifeline is a free, confidential crisis hotline that is available to everyone 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  
CRISIS TEXT LINE 
The Crisis Text hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the U.S. The Crisis Text Line serves anyone, in any type of crisis, connecting them with a crisis counselor who can provide support and information.  
VETERANS CRISIS LINE 
The Veterans Crisis Line is a free, confidential resource that connects veterans 24 hours a day, seven days a week with a trained responder.   
DISASTER DISTRESS HELPLINE 
The disaster distress helpline provides immediate crisis counseling for people who are experiencing emotional distress related to any natural or human-caused disaster. The helpline is free, multilingual, confidential, and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  
THE TREVOR PROJECT FOR LGBTQ+ INDIVIDUALS 
A national 24-hour, toll free confidential suicide hotline for LGBTQ youth.  
RAINN SEXUAL ASSAULT HOTLINE 
Get connected with a trained staff member from a sexual assault service provider in your area. Hotline available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.   
SUBSTANCE ABUSE & MENTAL HEALTH HOTLINE 
SAMHSA’s National Helpline is a free, confidential, 24/7, 365-day-a-year treatment referral and information service (in English and Spanish) for individuals and families facing mental and/or substance use disorders.   
NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOTLINE 
The National Domestic Violence Hotline provides essential tools and support to help survivors of domestic violence so they can live their lives free of abuse, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.  
NAMI HELPLINE 
The NAMI HelpLine is a free service that provides information, referrals and support to people living with a mental health condition, family members and caregivers, mental health providers and the public.

North Dakota Council on Abused Women's Services & Coalition Against Sexual Assault in ND 
NDCAWS continues to seek legislation, policy, and systems changes to promote victim safety and offender accountability. Its 19 member programs serve on a variety of committees and forums designed to take action on relevant issues.

DHS provides services that help North Dakotans of all ages to maintain or enhance their quality of life, which may be threatened by lack of financial resources, emotional crises, disabling conditions, or an inability to protect themselves.

Al-Anon is a mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking.

Alcohol eCHECKUP TO GO
Alcohol eCHECKUP TO GO is an interactive web survey that allows 冰球突破豪华版游戏下载 students to enter information about their drinking patterns and receive feedback about their use of alcohol. The assessment takes about 6-7 minutes to complete, is self-guided, and requires no face-to-face contact time with a counselor or administrator. 

Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere.  

AUDIT: Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test
The AUDIT questionnaire is a brief self-assessment of your alcohol consumption and is intended to assist you to identify any implications your drinking may have on your health and wellbeing, now and in the future. The AUDIT consists of 10 questions on alcohol use. The responses to these questions will be scored and the total score prompts feedback regarding your alcohol use, you may receive information on resources at the end of your survey

North Dakota Tobacco Quitline is a free telephone-based service available to help North Dakota smokers and spit-tobacco users quit using tobacco. 

Parents Lead
As your student transitions into college life, they will face many choices about the kind of life they want to live. The choice about whether to use alcohol and/or other drugs is an important one that every young adult is faced with. The consequences of these decisions will directly impact the success of their academic and personal goals.

Sexual Violence Prevention Program
Upon completion of the Sexual Violence Prevention Program, you should be able to identify characteristics of healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, define "consent", identify different forms of sexual violence, learn strategies for identifying and interrupting sexual violence, and learn strategies for helping victims of sexual violence.

The Partnership for a Drug-Free America is a nonprofit coalition of communication, health, medical and educational professionals working to reduce illicit drug use and help people live healthy, drug-free lives.

Active Minds
Active Minds
Active Minds is a national non-profit organization dedicated to utilizing the student voice to raise mental health awareness among college students. Many mental health challenges first present themselves at college age. Active Minds members plan campus activities aimed at positive mental health, advertise existing professional resources, and offer fellow students support. Membership is open to students who are passionate about eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health and students who have interest in working in the mental health field.
